Long Travel Kit — Honda Foreman 400/450/500 (1995–2011)

I’d really like to understand what’s going on with your setup. Did you have any other lift kit or suspension modifications installed at the same time as our long travel kit? If possible, could you also send us a few pictures of the rear suspension and how everything is installed? I’d be happy to take a look and see if we can figure out what’s causing the issue with the universal joint.

I coupled the long travel kit with the regular 2 inch lift kit. Yes it in fact can be done. The first photo is the 2inch kit installed front and rear with the long travel on as well. The second photo is the 2inch kit on the front alone and just the long travel on the rear. At first I had installed the 2in on the front coupled with the long travel on the rear and I was happy. I rode the bike for a while like that then went for the gusto and added the rear lift to the long travel. I was at first worried but once I put the bike back on the ground the pinion angle and such looked much better than I thought they were going to be. I haven’t had much real trail time with it but I’m very happy with the stance. Where I ride there are many low water crossings and a lot of timber slash to negotiate the better ground clearance will be much appreciated. Suspension still feels fine. Nothing feels too sprung and the steering isn’t darty. I was afraid of that with the lift stacking and a full time 4x4 bike, but I’ve noticed no ill effects.

This long arm kit made a noticeable difference in how my atv rides. My land is incredibly rough terrain and my old Honda, with its solid rear axle, would about buck you off if you were driving across the property with any amount of speed. This kit didn't magically turn my Honda into a Cadillac, but it did make the ride a considerable amount smoother. The kit takes only about 30 minutes to install with basic hand tools and the customer service was top notch.

Perfect fix! made the rear taller and the ride is noticeable softer going over bumps. Great investment for any quad that is capable of being upgraded. I recently gave the Honda 450es to a family member who wanted to start riding again, so we’ve gained another person for the riding group, but now Im the proud owner of a 2025 Polaris Sportsman 570. Hopefully soon I can get a Perfex 2 inch lift kit, then this quad will roll better than stock, at the next run. Thanks again for the great product that was provided.
